Richard Risbrudt ("Mr. Riz") has been a dedicated high school chemistry teacher for 46 years, including 17 years at a local community high school, 29 years at a private high school, and the last 4 years teaching at the college level.
After receiving numerous requests from the homeschooling community—including former students who wanted a high quality chemistry curriculum for their own children—he created ChemExplained.com to make comprehensive chemistry education accessible to everyone.
Throughout his teaching career, Mr. Riz has mastered the art of breaking down complex chemistry concepts, problem-solving techniques, and mathematical calculations into clear, understandable language. Students who complete the college-prep ChemExplained.com course consistently excel in high school, college-level chemistry, and other advanced academic subjects.

Personal Life
Richard and his wife, Denise, reside in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. They have three grown children and nine grandchildren.
